Darius Craig Continues Student Leadership at Maryland

In May 2015, The Washington Post called our scholarship winner Darius Craig "The Baltimore teen that will give you hope for the future." Darius made national headlines when he organized a citywide March for Peace after the Freddie Gray protests. As Digital's Student Government President, Darius's leadership and message of unity helped to heal our city in the aftermath of destruction and division.

Today, Darius is a freshman at the University of Maryland where he continues to serve as a student leader. Darius is the chair of the Dining Advisory Board where he contributes to student safety and well-being. Under his leadership, the dining halls have changed their dining plans and installed security cameras in residence hall lobbies.

Darius graduated from Digital Harbor and received a DHHS Alliance scholarship in 2015.
